Seafarer Suites is a boutique hotel that features fourteen rooms to accommodate both small and larger groups. Each room features top of the line quality beds, modern amenities, and tasteful decor inspired by worldly travel. All of our Suites offer full kitchens (Studios feature kitchenettes), and our staff prepares impeccable standards of room cleanliness to ensure a comfortable stay. You can stay at Seafarer Suites with confidence as there are no hidden fees or additional cleaning charges when booking directly with us.

Our commitment to our guests is a top of the line, clean and comfortable stay. For that reason, all throws, blankets, pillows, robes, rugs and room textiles are fully laundered and sanitized with every checkout. We NEVER reuse without fully sanitizing the comforts of your room. OUR AREA

From foodie stops, restaurants, museums, shops and miles of trails around Homer and across the Bay there really IS something for everyone. Annual events kick off in February with the Winter Carnival followed in March with the Winter King Tournament. These events continue to include the Shorebird Festival, Food Truck Festival, Harborfest, the Peony Festival, 4th of July Activities, the Elks Salmon Derby and conclude with the Nutcracker Faire. 

Homer is HOME to many craft breweries, meaderies and a local winery in addition to the famous Homer Spit boasting beach recreation, the #spitswing, shops and food stops. Galleries are numbered in the double digits and the musical community has events at Alibi, Alice’s and the Porcupine Theater. In the Summer, the Pier One Theater has ongoing live performances and the Salty Dawg hosts swashbuckling travelers with many live music events. 

Explore the natural beauty and wildlife all around us. Depending on the season, you can enjoy the great outdoors within minutes of your Suite. Enjoy a fishing adventure with us on Kachemak Bay or out to the Barren Islands.

BOOK MY FISHING

If adventure is what you’re looking for, there are many options in our surrounding area: Sightseeing, bear viewing, or hire a water taxi to the Park across the Bay to do a Glacier Lake plunge. Second to fishing, Guests favorites include a tour by boat or kayaking along the stunning Alaskan coastline at Kachemak Bay State Park. Try a nature walk with the Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies in the area around the Bay. Just 10 minutes north is the Anchor River for fly fishing and photo op on the most Westerly Highway of North America!

Just an 2 mile drive South, enjoy walking and biking on Homer Spit, a long strip of land that extends 4 miles into the Bay with beautiful beaches to enjoy a campfire and shoreline fishing. Bike rentals are available in town and on the Spit. The summer LUPINE explosion along the Spit Bike Trail is a photographer’s dream. Explore the scenic wetland trails full of birding activity around Beluga Slough or Wynn Nature Center. Many peony farms host guests during peak season as Homer is the ONLY place in the world that can grow peonies outdoors in late summer due to our midnight sun and cooler climate. In the winter, (and maybe on a dark summer night) stargaze for the Aurora Borealis or hop on the cross-country ski trails once snow falls. Snowmachining areas, ice skating the frozen lake, Ice Racing, Snowshoeing and the Homer Rope Tow are also great Winter recreation activities in and around Homer. Regardless of your appetite for Alaska, drop your anchor here for a one-of-a-kind experience.

OUR LOCATION

Seafarer Suites is located on Pioneer Avenue, the gateway to historic Homer, AK and the main access point for the Art and Food District. The Suites are within walking distance to numerous cafes, restaurants, art galleries, shops, groceries, and museums. We are also just a half mile walk to Bishop’s Beach. Homer’s taxi service will easily transport you to the famous Homer Spit. If you’re feeling more adventurous, you can also rent a bicycle to explore the area and take in the wildlife just up the road. Homer is home to limitless adventure, and many first-time visitors find it to be their new favorite vacation destination. Seafarer Suites is happy to host you as you explore the area, and our goal is to make your stay comfortable, enjoyable, and a place you’ll keep coming back to time and time again.
